SUMMARY
Support the Store Manager in the overall performance of SPENCER'S b maximizing sales potential and controlling expenses and shrinkage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following and other duties as assigned: Assist the Store Manager in coordinating SPENCER'S activities in order to achieve SPENCER'S sales plan and profit; Provide leadership and support the Store Associates in order to ensure that all aspects of Guest Service are being provided; Effectively merchandise, sign and price SPENCER'S in accordance with Company guidelines; Manage loss prevention techniques in order to reduce shrinkage; Assist Store Manager in completing all sales and inventory paperwork.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE -- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 2 years supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and be at least 18 years of age.
COMPUTER SKILLS -- Ability to undersand Microsoft Windows environment and to operate POS system.
LANGUAGE SKILLS -- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Guests, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and to compute rate, ratio and percent.
REASONING ABIILTY -- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving multiple variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES -- Must have excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills and must be able to dress in a costume during the Halloween season and/or during a marketing promotion as necessary.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS -- Must be at least 18 years of age. (Exceptions must have Regional Sales Manager and Human Resources approval.)
